Monitoring · n8n + Twilio

Website and business phone watchdog

Get an owner alert when the website or parts of the Twilio phone setup need attention.

By Mike Matthews, Matthews Automation · Free public template

No email signup. Open the workflow file on GitHub and use Download raw file to save it, then import it into n8n. Read the setup instructions before activating it.

How it works

  1. Check the website, Twilio balance, routing, and message failures.
  2. Notify the owner when a monitored condition changes.
  3. Send a recovery message when the issue clears.

What you'll need

n8n, Twilio, the website addresses to monitor, a business number, and the owner's mobile number.

The template is free to download. Hosting, phone service, and message usage are separate. Connect your own accounts and follow the repository's setup instructions.

What was tested

The build notes document ten live runs, including website failures, recovery, rejected messages, and quiet hours.

Know before installing

Alerts depend on Twilio too. An exhausted balance can prevent alerts. Routing changes and carrier blocking were simulated, and the morning check-in was not observed live.

Try it with your own test details first. For customer messages, use contacts who have agreed to receive them and check your opt-out handling before activation.
