Hear it now

The fastest way to evaluate this is to call the number.

Unedited · demo line A plumber called this number about missed jobs. Nothing is cut.

Zero human intervention. Hank picked up, qualified the business, quoted the pain in dollars, and captured the callback info before the line dropped. That's the whole product.

Straight about what this is: a real caller on our own demo line, not a client's customer. Client calls don't get published as marketing. Why that distinction matters →

Have Hank call you back Live in ~15 seconds. No pressure.

Drop your number and Hank — the actual AI receptionist — will call you back in about 15 seconds to demo the flow live. You’ll talk to the same system your customers would.

Hank will ring your phone in about 15 seconds. If you don’t answer, Mike will follow up during business hours.

Rather just dial it yourself? Call (470) 467-7724 — Hank knows it's a demo.

Here's what happens on the call

Step 01

Hank answers.

No menus, no "press 1 for sales." Hank opens the call sounding like a real receptionist who already knows your business.

Step 02

Qualifies on the fly.

Asks about the caller's business, what they need, how urgent it is. Captures the parts that matter for follow-up — and skips the parts that don't.

Step 03

Books and hands off.

Sends a calendar link by text, drops the lead into your inbox with a summary, transfers to you if the caller asks for a real person.

MIKE MATTHEWS

Founder · Marietta, GA

One person builds it.
You know who to call.

I'm the only person you'll deal with. I build Hank, tune him for your business, answer the phone when something breaks, and get on the call myself for the tough ones.

Background is financial services operations and fraud analysis — where a broken process doesn't just waste time, it creates liability. That instinct for catching things before they become problems is what I bring to every build.

Deep CRM sync (ServiceTitan / Jobber / HouseCall Pro / FieldEdge two-way sync) is scoped per client — Mike quotes it after the audit if you need it.

Running 800+ calls a month, multi-location, or custom integrations? Mike quotes those personally — not on the walk-in menu.

Need more than Hank?

Some clients come for Hank and stay for the rest — booking automation, dispatch routing, custom CRM builds, multi-workflow systems. Those are scoped during the audit and quoted against what the work is worth (typical range $15K–$60K per project). Same model: fixed scope, fixed price, no surprises.

FAQ

A few things worth knowing before we talk.

What happens if a customer calls after hours?

Hank ships with per-vertical after-hours defaults. Non-emergencies get "the owner will call you back first thing tomorrow" plus a confirmation SMS. Real emergencies — burst pipe, gas smell, no heat below freezing — escalate to your cell immediately. What counts as an emergency is customizable in plain English.

How is this priced?

One plan: $1,500 to get started — a complete package that includes the build AND your entire first month of live service. Then $497/month, up to 300 answered calls, 75¢ per call over. Month-to-month, cancel by un-forwarding your phone. Bigger operations (800+ calls/month, multi-location, deep CRM sync) get a Mike-personal quote, not the walk-in menu.

Do I need a developer or a tech team?

No. I handle the build end-to-end. Your team's job is to understand your own workflows and review the result before it goes live. You learn the new process, not the code behind it.

How long until Hank is actually working?

Live in 48 hours from the moment the $1,500 clears. Mike builds your persona personally, tests it against fake callers, then you forward your line. Real time savings start day one.

Does Hank filter out robocalls and spam?

Yes — two layers. Known-bad numbers hit a shared blocklist and get hung up on before Hank engages (no wasted tokens). New spammers get caught by a 3-second pre-engagement gate at the start of every call. You review and manage the blocklist yourself in the portal.

About AI receptionists generally

How much does an AI receptionist cost for a small business?

Ours is $1,500 to get started, which covers the build and your entire first month of live service, then $497/month for up to 300 answered calls and 75¢ per call over that. Month-to-month, cancelled by un-forwarding your line. For scale: a part-time human receptionist at $18 to $22 an hour, 30 hours a week, works out to roughly $2,400 to $3,200 a month fully loaded, and goes home at five. Hank answers at 2am for the same flat $497.

Is an AI receptionist cheaper than a live answering service?

Usually, and the difference is the billing model more than the rate. Answering services bill by the minute — quotes commonly land in the $1 to $2 range — so one six-minute intake call runs about $6 to $12, and a busy storm week is genuinely unpredictable. Hank is a flat $497/month up to 300 answered calls, so 40 calls and 300 calls cost the same. The month you most need somebody answering is the month a per-minute bill hurts most.

Can an AI receptionist actually book appointments, or does it just take messages?

A message service takes a name and a number and hands you a callback list, which is a slower way of missing the call. Hank books: it writes the job into your real calendar while the caller is still on the line, confirms the slot out loud, and texts you the details. You wake up to a scheduled morning instead of fourteen callbacks to make between jobs.

Can callers tell they are talking to an AI?

Some can, most do not ask, and it is not trained to lie about it. If a caller asks directly whether they are talking to a person, Hank says no. The honest read is that a homeowner with no cooling at 9pm cares far more that somebody picked up and booked them for 8am than about who was on the other end. You can test that claim before spending a dollar — call (470) 467-7724 and ask it anything you like.

What happens when the AI does not know the answer?

It says so, takes the question down verbatim, and routes it to you instead of guessing. A receptionist that invents a price or promises a Saturday you do not work costs more than the call was worth. Anything Hank is unsure about becomes a text to your phone with the caller's number attached.

Do AI receptionists work for plumbers, HVAC and electrical companies?

That is the case they fit best, because the work physically prevents you from answering. You cannot take a call with your hands inside a wall, on a roof, or under a sink, and trades calls are disproportionately urgent and after-hours. Hank asks what a good dispatcher asks — cooling or heating, is water still running, is anyone at risk in the home — books the routine ones into the morning, and only wakes you for what you told it counts as an emergency.

How much work does a contractor actually lose to missed calls?

Do not trust anybody quoting you a national percentage, us included. Do it with your own numbers: open your call log, count the calls you did not answer last week, halve that for the ones that would have booked, and multiply by your average ticket. A Cobb County HVAC shop missing two after-hours calls a week at a $600 average ticket is roughly $600 a week walking to whoever picked up first. Your own log tells you whether $497/month is a bargain or a waste, and checking takes about four minutes.

How fast can an AI receptionist go live?

Ours is live 48 hours after you start. That covers building your persona, loading your services and pricing, setting your emergency rules, and testing against fake callers before a real one gets it. The last step is forwarding your line, which takes about sixty seconds — and is also how you cancel.

Show 9 more questions
Can I change how Hank behaves without a developer?

Yes. The plan includes plain-English rule tuning. Type "when someone asks about after-hours emergencies, tell them to try Justin's cell" into the portal, hit save, and Hank uses that rule on the next call. Rules can be time-of-day gated. No YAML, no prompts, no deploys.

What does the $497/month actually cover?

AI models improve, APIs change, workflows evolve — the $497/month covers ongoing tuning, bug fixes, integration maintenance, up to 300 answered calls (75¢/call over cap), and Mike's cell when something breaks. Same product for a solo shop as for a multi-location franchise on the walk-in plan. Bigger operations get a custom quote.

What if it stinks? Am I out $1,500?

Honest answer: the $1,500 isn't refundable — it covers real work Mike did with his hands. But it isn't a gamble either. On day 25, Mike sends you the log — every call, what Hank did with it, what got booked, dollars attached. You read it together. If that log doesn't obviously beat $497/month, you un-forward your line (takes sixty seconds) and you're exactly where you were before we started.

Will you raise my rates later?

No. Existing clients never get a rate increase — ever. New clients might pay more someday; you won't. Not a promo, it's how Mike intends to drink coffee at the same supply house as his customers for the next twenty years.

What does an engagement actually look like?

Free 15-minute discovery call to map your workflows, then a deeper working session, then a fixed-price proposal before any work starts. No scope surprises, no cost surprises.

What tools will you use — do I have to buy new software?

No new software required unless it genuinely fits. Most builds use Make, n8n, or Zapier for automation, and Claude or OpenAI for AI. If you already have tools you like, I work around them.

What if something breaks after Hank goes live?

There is no support window that expires, because there is no "done" on a monthly service. Fixes are covered for as long as you are paying the $497. Behavior problems (wrong price quoted, booked outside your hours) are usually fixed within the hour, because they are wording changes rather than code. Integration breaks are same day or next, depending on whether the fix is mine or a vendor's. Error alerting fires to me, so I usually know before you do, and when Hank is actually down you text my cell at any hour.

Is my business data safe?

Straight answer, because the old version of this answer was wrong. I DO hold some of it. Every call Hank answers is recorded, transcribed and summarized, and those sit in my database for 90 days by default (longer if you want, deleted whenever you say). Encrypted in transit and at rest, row-level isolation so no client can reach another client's calls, and nobody trains AI models on your calls, Anthropic included. Every vendor that touches your data is named in the privacy policy. What I do NOT hold is the data inside your own tools: your CRM and calendar stay yours and nothing of yours leaves with me. Full breakdown, including what happens when you leave, on the before-you-sign page.

What kinds of businesses is this actually right for?

Service businesses, professional firms, property managers, growing teams — typically 5 to 50 employees — paying someone to do work their software should handle. The 15-minute discovery call tells us both whether it fits.

Doing real diligence?

The questions above are the ones people ask before they buy. There are ten harder ones people ask before they sign: references, recordings, who owns the number, what happens when Hank gets a booking wrong, and what happens to you if this business closes. Those are answered on their own page, including the four where the answer is no.
